I have contemplated for a while about purchasing a Cricut machine. My dreams of owning one have finally become a reality and the timing could not be more perfect! I was so excited to get my Cricut in the mail but I waited several days to open it. I wanted to make sure when I opened it, I had enough time to sit down and play with it. This machine is awesome! Even the box it comes in is appealing. I was so happy to be able to find one in a lilac color (which is my favorite color). Just like any new crafting “toy” when you first open it, you are super delicate and you want to make sure you don’t break or mess anything up. But the Cricut doesn’t have complicated components and pieces. It comes with a power cord of course, an USB cord (in case you don’t have a bluetooth device), a design pen, and design mat. I also purchased a tool kit in lilac of course. I am sure these will come in handy.
Once I downloaded the app (which is now available for Android devices), it gave me step by step instructions for setting up my machine via bluetooth connectivity. Once that was complete, it was able to tackle my first project! In the box were the supplies needed to do just that. In less than five minutes, I made my first card. I was so impressed. Of course I should have purchased more supplies so I could go craft crazy! I can’t wait to make shirts, cards, and monograms. The possibilities are endless!
I cannot say enough about the Cricut machine. After researching and comparing the Cricut to other machines, I knew I made the right choice. I am especially happy now that the app is available for Android devices. This means that I can create amazing designs on the go from my phone or my tablet.
